Architecture
STAR Work Groups
Most of the STAR Work Groups (WG) are chartered with developing or maintaining the existing data formats (BODs), but the Architecture WG is chartered with finding common infrastructure and interoperability among STAR members. STAR has created this group to address certain areas of Web Architecture that include Transport as well as:
- Interpret and clarify complex issues
- Build consensus around principles
- Coordinate technology developments
The current Transport Package specification is set of publications for RSP and OEM softwaredevelopersand architects to foster interoperable movement of STAR XML BODs. The documents in the package are:
- STAR Transport Guidelines – a high level requirements and recommendations document
- STAR Web Services Implementation – implementation details for using Web services specifications
- STAR ebMS Implementation Guidelines – implementation details for using the ebXML Message Services specification
Document
Column contains the name and description of information contained within the document.
Version
Indicates changes in data element names/attributes and clarified definitions per the STAR Infrastructure Subcommittee since the last publication.
Effective Date
Is the anticipated date the final version is released and takes effect.
Add/Change
Column indicates whether the transaction/document is an "Add"-- a new addition to the publication document set -- or whether a "Change" has been applied to an existing document since last publication. "Pending" refers to a document that is being published, but pending approval.
